The Leakage Monitor

The Leakage Monitor is a specialized financial dashboard found in Admin > Reports > Leakage .It provides a "Single Source of Truth" for every Euro that * could * have been revenue but wasn't.

1. The Four Pillars of Leakage

The system tracks four distinct types of lost revenue:

1. Manual Discounts : Reductions applied by staff or managers(e.g., "Staff Discount", "VIP").

2. Loyalty Discounts : Value redeemed by customers using their loyalty points.

3. Automatic Promotions : Savings triggered by the system(e.g., "Happy Hour", "BOGOF").

4. Comped Items : Items given away for free(e.g., "Mistake", "Manager's Treat").

2. Real - Time Tracking

Every action taken at the POS—whether it's firing a re-fire or applying a 10% discount—is instantly logged to the Leakage Monitor.

* Reason Codes : Re - fires and Comps * require * a reason code(Wasted, Kitchen Error, Service Delay), allowing you to identify operational bottlenecks.

** Staff Accountability **: See which staff members are trigger - happy with the "Comp" button.

3. Variance Analysis

The monitor compares your Gross Possible Revenue vs. Net Collected Revenue .If the gap(The Leakage) exceeds your target percentage(typically 3 - 5 %), the system will flag the day in red on your monthly summary.

4. Reconciliation

At the end of each shift, the Z - Report includes a "Leakage Breakdown", ensuring that what the manager sees in the drawer matches exactly with the logged discounts in the cloud.
